Our complimentary activities are catered to guests of all ages. For our younger guests, kid-friendly amenities such as scavenger hunts, bedtime stories and no-tear bath amenities are just the beginning. So relax, pop in your child’s favorite DVD and see how easy family travel can be!

Bocce Ball

After a day of playing in Acadia National Park or sightseeing out on the water, kick back and relax in our backyard with a family game of Bocce Ball. Our backyard area offers something for everyone in your family. Catch up on some reading in an Adirondack chair, hang from the monkey bars on our children’s playscape, play a round of lawn Jenga or take a dip in our outdoor heated pool.

Children’s Playground

The Acadia Inn is a place where the whole family can enjoy a break together and create memories. A place where you’re not only entertaining the children but also giving the parents a chance to relax. Our backyard offers plenty of room for the kids to explore and our children’s playground offers a safe place for kids to play.

Kid’s Package

Choose a theme and get a black bear, moose or seal stuffed animal with a corresponding children’s book! Your fluffy friend and bedtime story will be placed in your room while you are out enjoying the park! Kids Kampout

Book our Kids Kampout Package and turn bed time into an adventure! This package includes a small tent, lantern, and padded mat for your child–plus they can take home their very own vacation critter! This fun family activity in Bar Harbor can be enjoyed without venturing outside of your room.

Movies in the Backyard

Join us for a family-friendly movie under the stars! During July and August we offer movies on the lawn twice a week. Guests are invited to our backyard to view a movie on the big screen, and we provide chairs and blankets to keep your family warm and cozy!

Outdoor Pool & Jacuzzi

Take a dip in our heated outdoor pool, open seasonally from late May through mid October. Our outdoor pool area is also located within our backyard, bordering Acadia National Park for optimum relaxation.

S’Mores by the Fire Pit

In July and August, twice a week, we invite our guests to join us in the backyard to roast marshmallows by the fire pit. You can build a decadent treat of graham crackers, gooey marshmallows and melty chocolate with your whole family. We provide all the necessary tools so you can enjoy this family activity in Bar Harbor with everyone!
